SUNSET HILLS • A company that sells electric sign supplies would like to move its headquarters to Sunset Hills.
A public hearing was held at the Board of Alderman meeting Tuesday night on Grimco Inc.’s plan for a 10,000-square-foot, one-story office building at 11816 Gravois Road.
The company plans to move its corporate office there from Fenton and expand from 40 employees to more than 100, said Dillon Reim of ARCO Construction Co.
Hummert Partners L.P. would be the builder.
The property is owned by Midwest Regional Bank, which has requested a lot split for the 4.2-acre parcel. The portion along Gravois Road would be used for future development. Two structures would be removed from the lot along Sappington Barracks Road, for the office building.
Board members have concerns about traffic, with the proposed entrance on Sappington Barracks, directly across from Crestwick Drive and east of the existing entrance to the bank.
As part of the approval for the lot split, the Board would require a cross-access easement from the bank. For the conditional use permit, Grimco must adhere to the city’s lighting standards. The board will take a final vote on the project at the next regular meeting.
