Purchasing Manager

Category: Manufacturing/Operations   Type: Full-Time

SignResource is looking for a Purchasing Manager that is an excellent multi-tasker with negotiating and purchasing responsibilities from Global and Domestic Sources with lead times ranging from 8 weeks to same day deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Key Purchasing and Material Planning for LED electronic systems
  • LED components and general electronics
  • Aluminum Sheet and Extrusions, Steel, Plastic, Injection Molding and other manufacturing supply items.
  • Candidate must be able to work effectively with Customer Service, Engineering, and Plant personnel while developing relationships and ensuring high performance from key vendors.

This position supports our Maywood manufacturing plant. Must have excellent Excel skills and experience running inventory reports and working in MRP systems. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not mandatory.

Purchasing Manager operates in Los Angeles and is a part of the Operational Management Team and participates in weekly team meetings. This position currently has (1) direct report.


IT Help Desk Intern

Category: Manufacturing/Operations   Type: Full-Time Paid

This is an ideal position for a college student currently pursuing Information Technology. We are looking for an IT Technical Intern in our Maywood office to assist with the daily IT activities.

This job is an opportunity to learn from and with experienced IT professionals. You will be working with our team to provide technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Respond to requests and issues over the phone. Respond to email messages for users seeking help. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

Under general supervision of the IT Manager, Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Support for all desktop\laptop users
  • Manage ticket system and respond to issues accordingly
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve level1 issues- computer hardware, printers, mobile devices, software.
  • Ability to work as a team player or being self-sufficient.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Document issues and processes for training purposes.

Be able to multi-task and accomplish issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software on Desktops and Laptops required.

Ability to work 40 hours a week.

  • 2-years experience in related field or degree\technical schooling.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Able to lift 35-pound weight if asked to do so.
  • Any certificate is a plus

 

Production Planner

Category: Manufacturing/Operations   Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team, in our Maywood office. Founded in 1969, SignResource is one of the largest manufacturers of sign, identity and image products in America. A complete, turnkey operation, SignResource’s facilities encompass over 200,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production in Los Angeles, California. 200 employees generate in excess of 35,000 sign and identity products annually

Candidate must be bilingual (English/Spanish), Candidate will be responsible for primary day-to-day production planning duties including working closely with customer service & engineering personnel. Documenting, scheduling and follow- through to help achieve an efficient flow of work order processing. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.

Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

Works with a schedule to establish sequence and lead time for each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Position requires working with deadlines, strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, strong problem-solving abilities, ability to function in a project-deadline, team-oriented environment. Provision of regular reports to a supervisor to assist in planning, organizing and controlling routine manufacturing flow, as delegated by supervisor.

  • A versatile, self- starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive
  • Ability to modulate within a dynamic workload: from heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads – to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required

  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
