ID THEFT >> A resident reported Oct. 16 that an unknown person had used the victim’s Social Security number to apply for Part B Medicare benefits, police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> An attempt was made to steal $1,055 in merchandise from Home Depot in Wyncote at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 16, but the thief fled and the items were recovered, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE >> Items were reported stolen at 10:39 a.m. Oct. 16 from an unlocked vehicle in the 7600 block of Levis Road, police said.

INDECENT EXPOSURE >> A woman reported at 8:58 a.m. Oct. 17 that a thin, black male in his early 30s, with dark hair in short braids, black rimmed glasses, wearing a tan sweater and blue jeans exited his red Honda Accord parked next to her vehicle at Shop Rite, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., and exposed himself, police said. The same male had exposed himself to the victim on Oct. 14 in the same area of the parking lot between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> Thearack Tham Kith, 32, of the 200 block of Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft at 1:13 p.m. Oct. 17 at Home Depot, 7690 Washington Lane, after he attempted to exchange $286 worth of items he didn’t pay for to get store credit, police said.

WARRANT >> Jaimie Manley, 31, 421 S. Central Blvd., Broomall, Pa., was arrested on a Chester County warrant at 7:23 p.m. Oct. 17 at Cheltenham Avenue and Williams Way, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE >> A vehicle parked on Humphrey Merry Way was rifled through overnight Oct. 17 and $40 was taken from it, police said.

VEHICLE ENTERED >> A vehicle in the 2000 block of South John Russell Circle was rifled through overnight Oct. 17, but nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

ROBBERY >> A black male, late 40s to early 50s, thin, with a beard, wearing sunglasses, dark pants and a three-quarter-length coat over an orange hooded sweatshirt threatened to shoot a loss prevention officer when confronted stealing items at 3:39 p.m. Oct. 18 at Rite Aid, 1401 W. Cheltenham Ave., police said.

BURGLARY >> A home in the 700 block of Meetinghouse Road was found burglarized at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 19, police said. Entry was made through the front door and $40 was taken, police said.

DRUG CHARGE >> A 15-year-old male of Elkins Park is being petitioned to Montgomery County Juvenile Court on a possession of marijuana charge after a clear sandwich bag with a green leafy substance was found in his book bag at 7:34 a.m. Oct. 19 at Cheltenham High School, 500 Rices Mill Road, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE >> A black Springfield .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol with three fully loaded magazines was reported stolen at 8:31 a.m. Oct. 19 from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Hewett Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> Barbara Szymanski, 37, of the 1300 block of Meetinghouse Road, Ambler, was charged with retail theft after taking $129 worth of goods from Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, at 12:34 p.m. Oct. 19, police said.

THEFT >> A cellphone accidentally left on the counter of a business at 2471 Cheltenham Ave. was reported stolen at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19, police said.

BURGLARY >> Jewelry and a laptop were among items taken during a burglary of a unit at the Melrose Station Apartments, 902 Valley Road, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 19, police said.

BURGLARY >> A resident of the 400 block of North Sterling Road reported at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 20 that someone was attempting to get into the residence though a back window, police said. The homeowner’s dog began growling and woke the resident up, police said. It appeared that nothing was missing, police said.

BURGLARY >> A home in the 300 block of Stowe Road was found burglarized at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 20, police said. A dining room window was found open and the victim’s purse, later found a few houses away with $100 was missing from it, was taken, police said.

THEFT >> A woman reported at 11:26 a.m. Oct. 20 that while shopping at Walmart, 1000 S. Easton Road, an unknown person took $50, various credit cards and ID cards from her purse, police said.

WARRANT >> Warren Boston, 46, of the 1700 block of Cheltenham Avenue, Elkins Park, was taken into custody on a state probation and parole warrant at 12:05 p.m. Oct. 20 at Rite Aid, 1401 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> France Vertus, 18, of the 1700 block of Mohican Street, Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft at 4:53 p.m. Oct. 20 at Burlington Coat Factory, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

DRUG CHARGES >> Kerry Pettit, 24, of the 6600 block of Dittman Street, Philadelphia; and Raymond Rivera, 24, of the 100 block of East Willard Street, Philadelphia, were arrested at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 20 at Chelbourne Plaza, 46 Township Line Road, where they were attempting to sell a pound of marijuana, police said. Both were charged with possession with intent deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and conspiracy, police said.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Oct. 21 that an eBay account was fraudulently opened using the victim’s name and address, police said.

THEFT >> A resident of the 800 block of Elkins Avenue reported at 8:55 a.m. Oct. 21 that the PA license plate, JPT-7641, was missing from the victim’s vehicle, police said

RETAIL THEFT >> Tanya Kingwood, 22, of the 800 block of Scattergood Street, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft after taking $167.89 in goods from Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, at 8:14 p.m. Oct. 21, police said.

BURGLARY >> A 46-inch Samsung TV and three sets of blinds were reported stolen at 2:48 a.m. Oct. 22 in a burglary at an apartment in the 2000 block of Mather Way, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE >> About $50 worth of SEPTA tokens and $20 cash were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue found ransacked at 11:10 a.m. Oct. 22, police said.

WARRANT >> Jazzamine Lawrence, 35, of the 2100 block of South John Russell Circle, has been charged with simple assault after she accidentally put vodka in her newborn’s formula May 29, police said.

HARASSMENT >> Duk Soo Kim, 78, of the 8800 block of North Marshall Road, Wyndmoor, has been charged with harassment in connection with a May 29 incident when he attempted to kiss an exchange student from Korea, who agreed to do some design work at his office in the 1900 block of West Cheltenham Avenue, police said.

DUI >> Nasir Permenter, 38, of the 8500 block of Bergen Terrace, Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being stopped at 9:50 p.m. June 1 at a DUI checkpoint at Cheltenham Avenue and Oak Lane Road, police said.

DUI >> Nathan Lopez, 24, of the 100 block of Ashmead Street, Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 12:20 a.m. June 3 at a DUI checkpoint in the 8200 block of Old York Road, police said.
